Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC)

With MRC from TruStage, your credit union offers a vehicle service contract to help protect members from unexpected vehicle repair costs.
MRC is high-quality, comprehensive coverage that pays for the cost of parts and labor for any covered vehicle mechanical repair. It provides the needed protection at the time your vehicle is most likely to require repairs.

One program for both new and used vehicles with three levels of coverage to choose from depending on the vehicle’s equipment.

Benefits

• Rental Reimbursement – Up to $35/day for 5 days (up to an additional 5 days with verified parts delay) from day one.
• 24-Hour Emergency Roadside Assistance – Includes towing, battery jump start, fluid delivery, flat tire assistance and lock-out service. (up to $100 per occurrence)
• Key replacement – Up to $800 per occurrence for the repair or replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged keys.
• Transferability – If you sell your vehicle privately (within 30 days from the date of sale), the coverage can be transferred (for a $50 administrative fee), adding resale value and appeal.

Members can finance the cost of MRC with their loan so that it is included in their monthly loan payment. Additionally, members can pay for the coverage by cash, check, or credit card to the credit union.

The cost is priced based on (1) the vehicle manufacturer’s make, model, and year; (2) choice of term/miles of coverage; and (3) choice of deductible. Plans may be purchased on both newly purchased and already owned vehicles.
