Overdraft Options

For those unexpected times when you don’t have enough funds in your checking account to cover a bill, check, or debit card purchase, we have a couple of options to help you out.

Automatic Savings Transfer

All RTFCU checking accounts are linked to your primary savings account to help cover items you’re paying from your checking account. If you don’t have enough funds on deposit in checking, we’ll transfer funds from your savings account; additional deposit accounts may be linked upon request.

Personal Line of Credit

In addition to linking deposit accounts, you may apply for a personal line of credit that can be automatically linked to transfer funds to cover overdrafts when they occur. You will only pay interest if the loan is used.

These options enable you to manage your money conveniently without the stress of bounced checks or insufficient funds. You choose the additional accounts to link and the order in which funds are transferred, or you may choose to have automatic transfers removed from your checking account.
